Happy Halloween!
Josh and I have realized that we like Halloween for very different reasons. I like cute little pumpkins and ghosts and other smiling decorations that I can put up in my living room and put candles in. Josh likes creepy spiders and zombies and gravestones and other scary things that give your neighbors the chills when they look into your living room window!
Since our current apartment is so small, the few Halloween decorations we have this year are cute. Neither of us are particularly fond of the idea of walking out of the bedroom to use the bathroom or get a drink at night and meeting up with some scary ghost or ghoul chilling in our living room. But when we have a bigger place- like a house with a front porch- we'll be putting up enough scary decorations to make the neighborhood kids think twice about walking up our front steps! (Hopefully they decide it's worth it. I've never had trick-or-treaters yet and look forward to having a place where kids come by to take our hard-earned money in candy form!)
Comment and let me know: do you prefer sweet and cute or scary when it comes to Halloween decorations?

I once dressed up as a vampire monk and laid, perfectly still, in an open coffin on my friend's front porch. Everyone thought I was just a decoration, until I grabbed them.
ReplyDeleteSo, yes, scary.
